What is ONE THING about yourself that you've learned to EMBRACE, that you once didn't?
I had a conversation recently with a friend about “acceptance.” They were talking about something they accepted, and I was curious: did they mean they acknowledged this thing, or that they welcomed it with open arms?
While I'm all about acceptance — especially when it comes to self acceptance — I wonder if sometimes we get so stuck in the mindset of "acceptance" (which is all about recognizing something as truth, no matter how we feel about it) that we forget about what it could look like to "embrace" (which is all about being actively welcoming and enthusiastic about that truth).
